The Brazilian Adriano Moraes is thrilled that ‘Might Mouse’ has been able to play such a pivotal role in his story. These two fighters have exchanged some brutal blows over the course of three exhilarating fights.
Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson Forever Be Linked
On November 7th, Adriano Moraes will make his eagerly anticipated return to the ONE Championship cage. This time he will be against Danny Kingad in the famous Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
This fantastic clash serves as a massive moment for Adriano Moraes. This is due to the former champion looking to bounce back from two consecutive defeats. Both of these defeats have come against Demetrious Johnson.
During the three blockbuster fights between the pair Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson created something special, in front of MMA fans from around the globe.
During the first fight between the two fighters, the Brazilian shook up the entire world. This was when he rendered the legend Demetrious Johnson with a thunderous knee. This was before Demetrious Johnson would go on to return the favour in the rematch.
These two fighters would eventually settle their differences in a trilogy fight, with Demetrious Johnson being able to walk away with the bragging rights. This came due to a unanimous decision. The series of epic fights between the pair has become a piece of MMA history that only enhanced the legacies of both men. Adriano Moraes was overjoyed that he was able to have the opportunity to be able to feature in such a tremendous rivalry.
Speaking to Bloody Elbow about the fights Adriano Moraes stated;
“It’s amazing because he’s one of the greatest of our time, and I was the first man to finish him. To become part of his legacy and to make him part of mine as a flyweight athlete is a dream come true.”
“I think it’s every flyweight athlete’s dream to fight Demetrious Johnson one day, and I did it three times. So, it’s fantastic for me.”
“When they remember Demetrious Johnson, they’re going to remember me too. If he does good, then I do too.”
Adriano Moraes’s Mom Adopted Him After Being Abandoned on the Streets.
While Adriano Moraes has been able to achieve so much in the sport. There is nothing that makes him happier than speaking about his beloved mother. After being abandoned by his biological parents, and spending three years at the orphanage. Adriano Moraes then met a wonderful woman who adopted him and allowed him to become the warrior he is today.
Adriano Moraes mon was able to showered him with love, and was able to help him to develop the courage necessary to set foot in the cage. Now the Brazilian has a baby of his own, and is so excited to introduce the pair to one another. When speaking about this Adriano stated;
“I love to speak about my mom. My mom is an angel sent from God to my life. She supports me every single time, whether I win or lose. She’s always by my side.”
“I’m really happy because now I have my daughter, and my mom is going to come to meet her for the first time.”
“This is a dream coming true for me, for my daughter to meet her grandmother, it’s a magical thing. I can bring her here to Florida, where I live.”
“She hates travel, but she’s going to come because we have a baby, and she’s excited to know her.”
