Aaron Aby promised us earlier in the week that with a win he’d be knocking on the UFC‘s door, after that performance we agree.
From start to finish, Aaron controlled the fight and made Gerardo Fanny regret being in there. In the third round, Aaron Aby finally secured the finish. After his patient approach brought him into the third with a clear lead, he took advantage of a defensive error from Fanny and got the choke. Catch the finish below, courtesy of Cage Warriors.
This is by far the most impressive win of Aaron’s career, and leaves him in an interesting position. Aaron could be fielding calls from companies like the UFC or Bellator, or could potentially stay with Cage Warriors. The Cage Warriors Championship can’t be far from reach. Aby wants to go to the UFC, and if this doesn’t get it done, a title win surely would.
For now, Aaron can go home and celebrate this win before focusing on what’s next. Hats off to one of the biggest inspirations in MMA.
