Tyson Fury has been very vocal in his disappointment about the decision loss to Heavyweight champion Usyk.
Fury has since claimed he is retired from the sport of boxing after his 2nd loss his career and to Uysk.
Many have doubted his retirement claims after some previous retirement announcements from Fury which have since been proven false.
One doubter is WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman who has recently claimed that Fury is still bitter about his losses to Usyk.
Sulaiman is a very polarising character in the boxing industry coming under fire for many strong opinions.
Despite Sulaiman’s many interesting opinions he says he has spoken to Fury regularly.
“I call him regularly and he said: ‘I’m so happy retired.’ He didn’t hint that he was planning or coming back.”
Although Fury seems happily retired it seems he still has unfinished business with the Heavyweight division.
“He told me he was not happy with the decision in the second fight with Usyk.”
Rumours of a return have swirled since the Gypsy King’s retirement.
Fights against Usyk and Anthony Joshua have been at the forefront of the rumours.
Tyson Fury To Return?
Sulaiman seems to have his doubts about whether Tyson Fury can stay out of the squared circle.
“Maybe like in The Godfather, maybe we’ll hear him say: ‘Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!’
The WBC president said he can feel his bitterness about the result of his final fight.
“He’s still very bitter about the judges’ scoring and he was very upset.”
For the time being Fury is still retired and Usyk will have to face another British Heavyweight in a attempt to defend his WBC title.
Usyk will have to face Daniel Dubois for the 2nd time at Wembley Stadium on the 19th of July.
The Ukrainian champion has ruled the Heavyweight division with dominance over British stars.
Oleksandr is 6-0 against British Heavyweights.
He will look to confirm the double over his third UK opponent from the division.
Despite the retirement I would imagine Tyson Fury will have a keen eye on this bout.
As a spectator if not anything else.
