Richardson Hitchins is prepared to annihilate George Kambosos Jr when the pair step in the ring on Saturday night.
The IBF super lightweight champion is gearing up for his first defence of the crown after comprehensively outboxing Liam Paro last year.
Now he has his sights firmly set on another Australian name to add to his resume in Kambosos.
‘Ferocious’ has lost three times in his last five fights including a stoppage loss to the now retired Vasily Lomachenko.
Even with experiences against Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney – Hitchins feels he’s still a level above the 31-year-old.
Speaking on Make the Days Count, he said: “I can do it all in the square circle. I’m so crafty, so slick, so smart.
“Guys get in there and they try to figure it out and I’m just a level above a lot of these guys.”
The fight is all the more important to the reigning champion being in front of his home fans at Madison Square Garden.
Where he has warned Kambosos, he isn’t here to just talk.
Hitchins said: “George Kambosos, he’s going to have to find out the hard way. I don’t give a f-ck how he come, he can bring the pressure, he could make it dirty, whatever he want to do.
“I’m going to hunt him down and I’m going to annihilate this guy at Madison Square Garden in front of my hometown fans.”
Kambosos guarantees mind games are working
The former unified champion is known for his enjoyment of playing mind games with opponents.
Most famously after missing weight for the Haney fight, he claimed it was a ‘deception’ tactic all part of the ‘Art of War’.
Now he believes he has a place in his opponent’s head, he said: “Do I think I’m in Hitchins’ head? Yeah, I think so.
“You can see it in the face off, looking back at it. He’s staring, he’s looking around, and I was having fun.”
Even in the preparations inside the gym he and his team have taken a humorous approach.
While holding a skeleton, he said: “Hey Hitchins, how are you? How’s the weight cut going?
“Look at those ribs, skinny ribs. You’re going to run aren’t you? You are going to run.”
