The Fight

Round 1: Jordan Barton comes out to the centre straight away with heavy pressure. Diatta is swinging big but Barton defends well. Each man shares combinations in a fast-paced start before a takedown is attempted by the Brit. Diatta gets to the fence before he’s tripped and ends up on the bottom. Managing to get back to his feet, the Frenchman lands a nice elbow on the break.

Round 2: Barton once again storms the centre of the cage, Fabacary throws plenty of kicks to keep his opponent at bay. Jordan gets in close and manages to get the trip to end up on the back. With both hooks in, Barton stays on Diatta despite being on his feet. Coming close with a couple of chokes, Diatta manages to survive and take control to end the round on top.

Round 3: Diatta starts the round throwing power, while his counterpart maintains precision and lands some nice shots. Jordan lands a big left hook that sends the opposition spiralling across the octagon. Diatta attempts to take the fight to the ground, but Jordan threatens the guillotine and gets on top. Landing some big shots in the ground and pound, Jordan maintains control. Back to their feet, both men are throwing through the last 30 seconds and the final bell goes.

Barton gets the split decision win in what was a close and competitive fight. All aspects of MMA were on display this was one for the fans to enjoy.

Whats Next?

After beating undefeated prospect Fabacary Diatta, Jordan Barton now moves to 7-2-1. Taking the zero of such a highly-touted talent will do huge things for his career. Stealing the shine away from the French fighter, the Brit will now be looking to move onwards and upwards. Setting his eyes on the very talented featherweight division. Jordan will now be hoping for a big name in his next outing after showing many elements to his game.
