Chris Eubank Jr will be called before the British Boxing Board of Control (BBofC) over alleged use of a sauna.
He was victorious over Conor Benn in their huge stadium clash but battled outside the ring attempting to make weight.
The 35-year-old is alleged to have used a sauna to shed the weight needed for the clash.
Eubank Jr was fined £375,000 for missing the 160 limit by only 0.05 lbs on weigh-in day.
But the General Secretary Robert Smith has been made aware of the allegations and has invited the fighter to a hearing.
Speaking to BBC Sport, he said: “We need to establish exactly what the situation is. I want to find out the dates when it was all done.
“He’s been called in by the Southern Arena Council.
“He will come in at the beginning of July and tell them what the truth is and then they’ll make a decision.”
A video on social media posted by the former IBO middleweight champion, showed him emerging from a hot suit.
Use of saunas or a heat based equivalent is banned by the Boxing Board.
Smith when pushed for comment on the details of the allegations made clear he will await the outcome first.
He said: “Let’s just see what the man has to say.
“There will be doctors there etc and the council will consider it and decide what action they need to take.”

It was not made clear exactly what punishment he could be facing but fighters have faced serious consequences.
Adam Azim had his last fight with Eliot Chavez pulled days prior as the Mexican used the illegal technique to cut weight.
In 2022, John Riel Casimero was stripped of his WBO title after using one before a clash with Paul Butler.
The most likely outcome for Eubank is a third fine for an action he took during the Benn build-up.
Smith and the Board have come under fire for his role on weigh-in day where Junior claimed his cut was ‘derailed’.
When questioned by Boxing News the Secretary said the fighter ‘boxed as though he had no problems’ during the fight.
