In there head to head on Matchroom Boxing, Dave Allen sent a warning shot to Johnny Fisher ahead of their rematch on Saturday.
After their controversial first fight where Fisher was dropped but still came out victorious, Allen believes that his opponent is still a couple of years away from him level wise.
He said ” I will improve more from the first fight then you will”, with Fisher saying that he feels in a better place after going ten rounds with the Englishman.
In a very respectful head to head, Allen does admit that with him only getting older at 33, the rematch does benefit him, as he seemed surprised that Fisher didn’t go another route after the win.
Allen said “I’m just better than you, I genuinely believe that, you didn’t have any business fighting me the first time let alone the second time”.
Dave Allen Believes Experience Is Key0-
Allen still believes that his experience is enough for him, admitting that he doesn’t feel any pressure going into this fight with 7 losses on his record, he knows how it feels.
After being asked is his opponent any good at Boxing, Allen said “you’ve had 12 amateur fights and 13 pro fights, you can’t be any good it’s impossible”.
A Must Not Lose For Both Men-
After both admitting it was a close fight and one that could’ve gone either way, their focus turns to the Copper box on Saturday in a must not lose for different reasons for both men.
With the controversial decision in Saudi Arabia, Fisher needs to dispatch of Allen to elevate his position in the Heavyweight division, especially if he’s going to want to fight for titles.
Whereas at 33, this could be one of the last dances for Dave Allen, with him mentioning his kids and family, if he does lose this could be it for the man from Doncaster, but if he wins, he’ll be back where he believes he belongs.
Allen’s final warning “As soon as you get into a fight with me, it’s not like I’m harder of tougher than you, I’m cleverer than you”.
With a lot of pride on the line and after the end to end action of the first fight, the fans are waiting in anticipation for the bell to ring again on Saturday.
