Brian Norman Jr has called out Conor Benn for a huge Welterweight bout in front of the United Kingdom crowd.
Norman Jr has wasted no time in calling out his next opponent after defending his WBO title just last week.
The WBO Welterweight champion of the world brutally knocked out Jin Sakai last Thursday with one of the KO’s of the year.
American Norman Jr has now called out Conor Benn for a battle across the pond.
He was very passionate when talking to Sky Sports about his next steps in the boxing world.
“WORLD champion. I don’t care where we’re at, when we step into the four corners, welcome to my city,” Norman said.
He claimed that people should know he’s ready to go whenever and wherever.
“I thought you knew me by now. I don’t mind where we go. I’m pretty sure if [Benn] comes down to 147 pounds he can make some noise and I’ll gladly fight him out there in the UK.”
Brian Norman Jr Wants The UK Crowd-
Brian Norman Jr has acknowledged that the crowd would be a complete U turn from his fight in the ‘polite’ Japenese venue.
” [The crowd in Japan] was very, very polite. Very quiet. It was like a sparring session at first. Now I want to go to the UK and witness the opposite. Just the crowd going crazy the whole time. I want to see how that is. I need that energy.”
All action Conor Benn is yet to make a decision on his next bout after going to war with Chris Eubank Jr earlier this year.
But after being on the shelf for sometime before, you’d imagine Benn will be keen to have a active year within the ring.
Norman Jr offers a handout in terms of world title honours that Benn hasn’t quite earned yet.
Despite his in ring results not showing value for a world title, his exposure and value outside of the ring could be unmatched at the Welterweight division.
One thing is for sure if the two meet, in the UK or elsewhere, it will bring eyes to a fire fight bout which will only be ignited more by UK fans.
