The UFC’s return to the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, marks what has become a yearly tradition for Canadian PPVs, with UFC 315 being Montreal’s first since 2015.
The talent pool of Canadian fighters on the UFC’s roster has slowly been growing over time, especially with all the recent rising prospects. Names like Mike Malott, Jasmine Jasudavicius, and Aiemann Zahabi have racked up long win streaks in the UFC, all featuring in crucial bouts on this card. Zahabi and Jasudavicius get their chances to face Brazilian legends and former champions Jose Aldo and Jessica Andrade. In contrast, Mike Malott faces rising KO artist Charles Radtke in the featured prelim.
UFC 315 also features two title fights, the Co-Main event being a highly anticipated women’s flyweight title fight. Manon Fiorot looks to finally claim gold with her stunning undefeated UFC record full of top contenders, while Valentina Shevchenko looks to continue her reign of dominance over the division after reclaiming gold.
In the Main Event of the evening, Belal Muhammad makes his first defense of the UFC welterweight championship when he takes on surging Aussie knockout artist Jack Della Maddalena, who stepped in to face Muhammad after Shavkat Rakhmonov was injured. Muhammad last fought in July, when he won the title over Leon Edwards. Della Maddalena’s last fight came over a year ago in March 2024, an impressive comeback win over Gilbert Burns.
