An anonymous donator by the name of ‘Iron Whale’ sent a big sum of money to Darren Till to knock out influencer boxer KSI.
Till made his first major venture into crossover boxing recently when he knocked out Anthony Taylor on January 18. The Misfits card on which they fought was set to see the former UFC title challenger face Tommy Fury at Manchester’s Co-Op Live arena.
Ultimately, Fury pulled out after the 32-year-old offered to kick him in the head if he was losing.
On that same card, KSI – CEO of Misfits – announced his next bout, a surprising matchup with former Premier League full-back Wayne Bridge.
Bridge withdrew from the fight a day later after personal remarks were made by his opponent during a face off.
This leaves the YouTube sensation with no opponent for the card set to take place on March 29.
Till offered to fight the 31-year-old in the immediate aftermath of his fight. This was before news broke that Bridge would no longer be fighting.
He said: “Jorge Masvidal, Mike Perry, Tommy Fury, f*cking KSI… all of you are getting [inaudible].”
A couple of days after the fight, the Liverpool man spoke to iFL TV, claiming: “I think he (KSI) needs to get one back in [the ring] and then he’ll go for me.
“I don’t think he wants it right now, but we’ll see. I think they all saw that I hit extremely hard.”
Mystery Fan Sends Darren Till $5,000 to Fight KSI
There has currently been no word on whether Till will step in to face KSI at the end of March.
Although, one fan in particular is trying to make it happen. ‘The Gorilla’ was sent a $5,150 donation from someone under the alias ‘Iron Whale’ to knock the Sidemen member out. This was sent through online subscription platform Fanvue
An accompanying message read: “I can’t stand KSI, his ego is almost as ridiculous as his commentary skills/music, please KO him for me.”
