UK’s premier MMA promotion, FightStar Championship (FSC), marked a significant milestone with their first international event at the COS 2 Arena in Belgium. This inaugural international event, part of FSC 29, was a massive success and featured an exciting UK vs. Europe Tournament, where Team UK triumphed 4-3, further showcasing the UK’s rising talent in MMA.

After the event, FSC promoter Raj Singh shared his thoughts on the success and the challenges of hosting an event in a new country.

FightStar Championship’s Success and Satisfaction

Reflecting on the event’s success, Raj Singh stated, “Our first international event in Belgium was a success. We had 19 well-matched fights; Belgium hasn’t had a fight card like this in a while! The fight card was stacked from top to bottom and was put together by the man Tarek Sendo.”

The well-organized event, featuring evenly matched fighters, brought a fresh and exhilarating experience to the Belgian MMA scene, demonstrating FSC’s commitment to delivering high-quality fights.

Overcoming Challenges

Raj also spoke about the challenges of organizing the event in a new country and the joy of successfully overcoming them:

“Belgium has been in the making for over a year. We finally got it off the ground in style with the help from my team. There were a few challenges; we overcame them and made things work. We gave the Belgian MMA scene a very good experience.”

The meticulous planning and determination paid off, as FSC successfully navigated the complexities of hosting an event abroad, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for both fighters and fans.

Future Expansion Plans

When asked about the future of FightStar Championship and its plans for expansion into other European cities, Raj was optimistic and enthusiastic. “FSC has been levelling up and consistently growing since 2021. From having the biggest crowds in UK MMA to hosting events in prestigious venues such as the O2 Arena and hosting our first international event in Belgium.”

Raj further revealed FSC’s ambitious plans for the future. “FSC will return to Belgium later in the year. We’re planning to bring FightStar Championship to another European country. Believe me, it’s going to be a big one.”

FightStar Championship’s debut in Belgium has set a high standard for future events and demonstrated the promotion’s ability to successfully expand internationally. With plans to return to Belgium and further extend its reach into other European countries, FSC is poised to become a major player on the international MMA stage.
