Daniel Weichel stunned the Bellator 281 crowd in London as he stopped Robert Whiteford by Technical Knockout. It took only one round and a few exchanges for German veteran and former Bellator champion Daniel Weichel to catch Scotland’s, Robert Whiteford.
As the action began in round one, both men began a tentative feeling out process, Whiteford the Matador and Weichel the bull. As Weichel backed Whiteford to the cage, though, he unloaded a big overhand right, followed by an uppercut. The German chased Whiteford with a flurry of uppercuts, causing the referee to stop it, much to Whiteford’s dismay.
Commentator John McCarthey believed the fight to be stopped early, and Whiteford certainly agreed.
What do you think of the stoppage?
