Adam Azim vs Sergey Lipinets – Fight Card Preview
Adam Azim returns this Saturday on Sky Sports in his toughest test yet versus former World Champion Sergey Lipinets for the IBO World Super-Lightweight Title. Callum Simpson makes a rapid return as chief-support defending his commonwealth strap.
Adam Azim looks to become world champion
(12-0) Super-Lightweight Adam Azim returns this Saturday for the IBO World Title versus former World Champion Sergey Lipinets. Azim returns for the first time since last October. He stopped Ohara Davies in the eighth round, in an exciting, fast-paced performance.
Sergey Lipinets comes into the fight after a FOTY contender versus Robbie Davies Jr in which he won via unanimous decision in America. Kazakhstan star Lipinets is a former opponent of Jaron Ennis suffering a round six KO. He is also a former IBF World Super-Lightweight World Champion winning the vacant title back in 2017.
Adam Azim will face his toughest test to date. he’s He’s fought anyone of the past of Lipinets, and oppositely to Ohara Davies. Sergey has shown he can still fight with his most recent win over Davies Jr.
Azim vs Lipinets Undercard
The main attraction of the undercard for this card was Viddal Riley vs Isaac Chamberlain however that fight got postponed due to a mystery injury sustained by Isaac Chamberlain who then pulled out of the fight.
Boxxer then announced a new chief support last week. Callum Simpson make a fast return from his first round stoppage over Steed Woodall at the beginning of January. Simpson is defending his commonwealth strap versus African and (13-2) Elvis Ahorgah over twelve rounds. Further down the card sees heavyweight Jeamie TKV return in his toughest test yet versus Michael Webster a very evenly matched affair. TKV comes off a stoppage victory over Franklin Ignatius. Webster coming off two defeats to Solomon Dacres.
Another fight added to the card last week was Cruiserweight Scott Forest makes a swift return against the fellow undefeated Aurel Ignat. (7-0) East-London Welterweight Joel Kodua returns in his toughest test yet versus (9-2) Lloyd Germain. Brother off Adam Azim, (7-0) Hassan Azim finally returns to the ring for the first time since 2023 versus Jensen Irving over four rounds. Also featuring on the card are (11-0) Alfie Clegg, (1-0) Garan Croft & (1-0) Lucas Roehrig.
